The Oh-Oh Hoodie is published!

The Oh-Oh Hoodie I submitted to Petite Purls has been published on their website! I knit two sweaters for the photo shoot, a boy and girl version. Now that's it's finally up, I feel like I need to get working on a new design. I'm in the mood for a grown up sweater, maybe something I would wear. I've been on a lace kick for awhile, so we'll see where that takes me...

February Baby Bonnet

download now

This is a little bonnet I came up with to go with the ever popular February Baby Sweater by Elizabeth Zimmerman from the Knitter's Almanac. I made it awhile ago but the blog is motivating me to put my patterns to paper, or pdf as the case may be. It's simple to do and very sweet.

Ivy Felted Mittens

download now

A while back a customer came into my store looking for a pattern to recreate a mate to a felted mitten. I became quite smitten with said mitten and asked her to leave the solo mitten with me so I could design a pattern to make a new mitten. This is the result. I'm rather pleased with these mittens. They are very warm, go up high on the cuff, and have some simple details that add a lot. The cuffs are embroidered after with french knots and simple stitches. Both mittens also have a single silver button which adds a touch of class. They work up fast with a double strand of bulky wool on size 13 dpns. You can whip a pair up in an evening!

My Wicked Easy Wristas

I'm still trying to work out the kinks of getting my patterns onto a blog, so I'm going to share an older pattern I came up with during the fingerless mitts craze. They're wicked simple, wicked cute, and wicked fun to make - thus the Wicked Easy Wristas. The pattern is free so make yourself and everyone you love a pair!

Hello big world!

I've resisted doing my own blog for some time. It feels self indulgent. It feels as if I'm putting too much out there. It feels weird. But, I keep making little steps into the 21st century, and blogs are just another part of that. I wanted a venue to share my knitting patterns, so here goes!
